METALBEC: They do it all!!! METALBEC was founded in 1970 by brothers Jean-Guy and Michel Robichaud. Based in Valcourt, Quebec, the company runs two separate divisions. MANUFACTURING / INDUSTRIAL The manufacturing sector does industrial sub-contracting in all sorts of metalworks: stamping, cutting, folding, welding, making pipes...in short, the manufacture or repair of anything that is made of metal. As Jean-Guy says, "If it involves metal, we do anything and everything!" CONSTRUCTION The construction division of METALBEC installs and services plumbing, heating, air-conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation and filtration systems. They supply safe, reliable and efficient systems to residential, commercial and industrial clients. From heating a small home to installing complicated networks of pipes and valves in huge factories, there is no doubt that the people at METALBEC have the know-how and years of experience to get the job done right. Their customers include some of the biggest internationally famous companies. Over thirty years ago, the Robichaud brothers started with an idea, and built a business from the ground up. Today, the company employs at least twenty people, including some of the Robichaud children. Michel's eldest son Philippe used to work there during summer holidays, his younger son David now works summers and is studying refrigeration. Jean-Guy's son Jean-Francois currently works there part-time, while studying mechanical engineering in Montreal. |
